SimonMed Imaging has partnered with ImagineSoftware to deploy an AI platform aimed at improving patient follow-up in outpatient radiology. The initiative centers on RadNav, a tool developed by ImagineSoftware to help track patient care and improve engagement after diagnostic imaging.

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based imaging provider said the platform enables automated identification of patients who may require follow-up scans, such as those with findings flagged during initial imaging. Through RadNav, patients receive reminders and educational materials via multiple communication channels to prompt timely action.

“Our goal is to empower patients with timely, clear, and actionable information about their health,” said Dr. John Simon, CEO and founder of SimonMed. “This partnership ensures that patients don't miss important follow-up imaging, which can be essential for early detection and effective treatment.”

Sam Khashman, CEO of Charlotte, North Carolina-based ImagineSoftware, called the collaboration an effort to close care gaps and improve long-term outcomes. “By combining SimonMed’s innovative imaging solutions with Imagine’s AI-driven patient engagement tools, we’ve created a powerful system to close gaps in care, improve early detection, and enhance long-term health outcomes,” he said.

SimonMed operates roughly 170 locations across 11 states and employs more than 200 radiologists. Its services include a full range of modalities such as MR, CT, ultrasound, PET/CT, and X-ray. The company has previously implemented AI technology to assist with diagnostics, including applications in breast cancer and neurological imaging.

ImagineSoftware, which provides revenue cycle management software, supports more than 75,000 physicians across the U.S. The RadNav platform represents its expansion into clinical engagement tools beyond billing automation.
