“The same technology that enables astronauts to monitor their health can also revolutionize imaging in underserved areas on Earth. Advancing science in space should always mean progress for all of humanity,” said Amol Karnick, President and CEO of KA Imaging. “Having the Reveal Mobi Lite, fully integrated with the Reveal 35C, now available in Europe is another step toward making innovative healthcare more accessible where it’s needed most,” he said.

One key application of the system is imaging in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

“The subtracted images serve different purposes, both optimizing workflow in critical environments,” explained Dr. Karim S. Karim, CTO of KA Imaging. “While the soft tissue image can improve visualization of lung lesions such as pneumonia, common in ICU stays, the bone image is highly beneficial for accurate positioning of lines and tubes.”

The technology continues to attract attention in clinical research. Studies using the Reveal 35C are exploring applications such as coronary calcium visualization and bone density measurements (not currently cleared for use).

“It’s encouraging to see researchers exploring new frontiers with SpectralDR,” said Karnick. “These investigations help validate the broader potential of our approach and pave the way for future innovation in spectral imaging.”
