(CHICAGO, IL, July 15, 2024) - Lori M. Wemhoff, will join AHIMA as its new chief marketing officer (CMO) effective July 15, 2024. In this role, Lori will serve as a critical member of the executive team, contributing to the strategy and growth plans of AHIMA.
As the new CMO for AHIMA, Lori will spearhead the organization's audience growth initiatives, partnering with leaders across the organization to achieve strategic, financial, brand, and culture outcomes. She will also serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, driving revenue growth and benefiting members and the Health Information (HI) professional community through the development of new and innovative programs.
Lori joins AHIMA from the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), where she served as the senior vice president of communications and marketing. During her tenure at AOA, Lori demonstrated her exceptional leadership skills by managing a high-performance team responsible for marketing and promoting the association to a wide audience of over 186,000 osteopathic physicians and medical students nationwide.
Some of Lori's notable achievements at AOA include overseeing the development and execution of a successful $2 million brand marketing campaign, which significantly increased consumer awareness and revitalized pride in the profession. Her strategic approach to branding, marketing, and promotion resulted in impressive outcomes, including increased membership, engagement, public awareness, and revenue.

Lori is an accomplished, results-driven leader with a proven track record in developing and leading successful communications, marketing, and public relations campaigns. She holds a Master of Arts in Communication - Public Relations/Marketing Research and a Bachelor of Arts in Business & Organizational Communications/Public Relations from The University of Akron.
