Five Minutes in Healthcare - Dr. Nishi Rawat

by Philip F. Jacobus, CEO | December 08, 2021
Dr. Nishi Rawat
Five Minutes in Healthcare is where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders, as well as innovative thinkers who are working to meet the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This week, I check in with Dr. Nishi Rawat, chief medical officer for Bamboo Health, a company that supplies prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) systems to monitor opiate prescribing patterns to curb abuse, and the founder of OpenBeds. We talk about how her background as a critical care physician outside Baltimore gave her the experience to see an unmet need in healthcare, and what challenges remain for providing better care to people with opioid use disorders.

We hope you enjoy the conversation. Please tell us what you think, and let us know who you would like to see interviewed next.
