Mirion Technologies, a leading provider of detection, measurement, analysis and monitoring solutions to the nuclear, defense, medical and research end markets, has acquired Biodex Medical Systems.
The Biodex product portfolio, which consists of nuclear medicine instruments, medical imaging equipment and rehabilitation systems, is expected to complement Mirion’s existing portfolio and allow Mirion to extend its footprint in the medical field.
“This is a big step toward our strategic objective to grow our medical business, continuing to build on our expertise in radiation measurement to advance human health,” said Mike Freed, chief operating officer at Mirion, in a statement. “We look forward to working with the Biodex team and are excited for the impact this acquisition will have on Mirion’s future in the medical field.”
