MESA acquires French diagnostic imaging service provider, Sigil
MESA Group Holdings (MESA) announced today that it acquired the French diagnostic imaging service provider, Sigil. As one, they will be the first local market provider of integrated, vendor-neutral managed equipment and maintenance service solutions for radiology equipment and biomedical devices, according to the company.
Sigil was founded in 2000 as a spin-off of Varian Medical Systems USA. It sells refurbished systems and conventional X-ray tubes and provides radiology system maintenance services, X-ray tube service and installation in public hospitals and quality assurance consulting.
Sigil also runs a large service facility in Massay, France that is equipped for MRI, CT and X-ray equipment staging and field engineer training, as well as logistical support for packaging X-ray tubes and parts delivery. Those service support facilities will be expanded and integrated within the MESA pan-European supply chain.
MESA already has a presence in 12 European countries, but this will be the first time it will enter the French market. France is a high-growth market right now for independent managed equipment services and managed maintenance solutions for the public and private health care sector.
The company will provide additional managed equipment services solutions to the French market in order to satisfy the rising demands for more efficient capital expenditures and reduced maintenance operating expenses over the equipment life cycle.
MESA was founded in 2009 and is now the leading pan-European independent, multi-vendor service provider for clinical and diagnostic imaging services, capital spare parts and equipment and managed equipment solutions.
