Wilkes-Barre, PA – Global Cancer Technology, Inc. announced today the successful removal of an older Gamma Knife™ machine and radioactive sources from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. The Gamma Knife machine removal entailed not only the removal of the machine, but the transportation and disposal of the cobalt-60 sources. “Hospitals now have a cost effective alternative to removing their older Gamma Knife machine without depending on the manufacturer and the former monopoly that existed,” stated Mr. John Clark, the CEO of Global Cancer technology.
