This US made hydraulic testing device appears to be complete and undamaged. This analog model was produced until 2023. This particular unit was purchased and used in a medical facility lab in 1988 and appears to have seen only very moderate use until last year. I believe it is a model 2 DW Tester (not gauge) as the chart on it has a maximum reading of 500 PSI. I can see nothing wrong with with this device. When last sold this model ran in the $5000-$5500 price range. Current products of this quality can run $10,000+.
The tester seen in these pictures is the unit that is for sale and will be seen.
According to the manufacturer:
he HydraLite Tester is a primary standard available as a dead weight tester or a gauge. Both feature a re-entrant type measuring piston and cylinder assembly. This design reduces the rate of fluid leakage and increases float time, helping to maintain accuracy as test pressures increase. Each tester features an easy-to-use, convenient screw pump as the pressure source, which contains a ratchet feature that prevents the unit from depressurizing unexpectedly.
• Accuracy to 0.05% of reading
• Ranges to 3000 psi
• Available in psi, kg/cm², bar, and kPa
• Dual piston models extend the range of single weight sets
Designed for lab or field use, each tester is completely self-contained within the cover of the unit.
• Overhung weight carrier reduces side thrust and friction
• Quick-leveling system for field use
• Optional Tripod
• Over-pressure protection prevents piston damage
