This is a very nice Eppendorf 5424 Benchtop centrifuge in excellent cosmetic and tested working condition. Comes with a 24 place fixed rotor and 8 inserts that holds 1.5 - 2.0 ml collection or conical tubes. Designed to run from 100 - 15,000 rpm's that increase in 50 rpm increments. Our RPM meter tested this machine to run at 15,001 rpm when empty and set on high (see pic).Clear digital display and a timer that runs from 30 seconds to 9:30 minutes, and 10 minutes to 9 hours and 59 minutes. The Eppendorf5424 is a non-refrigerated bench-top centrifuge. It is intended for sample preparation within the sphere of clinical diagnostics and in the routine, training and research laboratory in hospitals, science and industry.

The various fixed-angle rotors and adapters enable a large number of tubes like micro test tubes, PCR strips, Microtainers and Spin Columns to be used. In the context of in vitro diagnostics, the Centrifuge 5424 is designed among other things for chromosome analysis of human cells by the FISH technique (Kievits et al. 1990).

Condition & Testing
Very nice unit with little to no signs of previous use.. Comes with a fixed 24place rotor and 8 inserts that hold conical or collection tubes from 1.5ml to 2.0ml. Very nice metal bucket and lid with viewport in excellent condition. We tested different rpm settings, and the timer and all are working as they should. Our rpm meter tested it to spin at 15001 rpm when empty and set on high. The safety lid lock is working as it should and so is the audible end of cycle alarm. The lid seal is good. Ready to use as soon as you receive it! Guaranteed not to be DOA.
