CEDAR PARK, Texas, February 27, 2024 – The SUMMA Foundation and ETS-Lindgren, co-hosts of the in-person GlobalEM 2024 Symposium, announced Professor Gun-Sik Park with Seoul National University and Seoul Teracom, Co., as the Keynote Speaker. This presentation promises to be a highlight of the Symposium Technical Program which takes place July 14 to 19, 2024, in downtown Austin, Texas, at the AT&T Conference Center. Professor Park will present “Advances in High-Power Microwave Technologies.” His presentation will provide an overview of recent advancements in high-power microwave (HPM) technology, with a focus on key innovative approaches to increasing power density and efficiency. Insights into the current state and future prospects of HPM technology will also be discussed. “One of the reasons we invited Professor Park to present at the GlobalEM 2024 Symposium is his expertise in not only high-power electromagnetics, but HPM technology as well,” said Edl Schamiloglu, Distinguished Professor with The University of New Mexico and President of the SUMMA Foundation. “His ability to convey complex topics in a relatable manner, in addition to his popularity among our worldwide high-power electromagnetic community, is a benefit for Symposium attendees. Plus, he is very approachable and friendly; I expect many sidebar conversations with Prof. Park following his presentation and during the Symposium week. We are very fortunate that he will travel from his home base in Seoul, South Korea, to join us in Austin, Texas,” he added. You can read more about Professor Park here.
