Dunlee Glassware Tip of the Month: DAS Problem Affecting Imaging Quality

Sponsored Content | September 26, 2013

If you are experiencing image quality problems, it is important to confirm the source of the issue. It is common to assume the issue is tube related; however, this is often not the case. The picture at the right is an example of a DAS (data acquisition system) problem. To troubleshoot, you should first check and confirm that your tube and collimator are aligned within specifications. If these are aligned properly, you need to check your DAS and confirm through RAW data the defective FRDM, DIFBM, cable, or backplane. Once you have made repairs to the appropriate parts, you must complete a full calibration of the system in order to determine that the problem has been fixed.
