Remote radiology business Teleradiology Solutions inked a deal with one of India's biggest biotech companies to do remote clinical trial reads.
Biocon, headquartered in Bangalore, said Wednesday that eight-year-old Teleradiology Solutions would provide radiology reports for trials run by its subsidiary, Clinigene. Clinigene provides contract research for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
Radiologic scans help monitor the success of drugs under development, but because of a shortage of radiologists, there can be delays, according to Dr. Arjun Kalyanpur, founder of Teleradiology Solutions.
