John Spragle, 64, president of VGM Insurance announced his retirement and his excitement for successor Tom Jones who will take over June 1.
Spragle, who has been with the company for more than 20 years, is confident he is leaving VGM Insurance in good hands.
"Tom has several things," says Spragle. "He's good, honest... very knowledgeable."

The two have known each other for decades, when Jones hired Spragle to work for his insurance agency back in 1984. "He's my mentor," Spragle says.
Once Spragle retires he looks forward to fishing, playing golf, volunteering in a community for the disabled and spending time with his grandkids at his lake house.
"I'm as happy about [Jones] coming as I am leaving," he says of retirement's relaxations.
VGM Insurance is the largest provider of insurance for medical device companies, specializing in liability insurance for the growing industry.
