An eventful RSNA meeting

I've just returned from RSNA in Chicago and want to share my takeaways from the meeting.

First off, the show felt bigger than it has in recent years. It felt like there were more booths, and the exhibiting companies seemed to have more of their people on site.

The show started slow on Sunday, but Monday and Tuesday were extremely busy. I don't know if there were more attendees in general, but the people who were there were serious and wanted to do business.

Photo of myself and Robert Manetta, and as you can see he looks like a movie star.
It should surprise no one that the 5k race was extremely cold, and the lines for Starbucks were long.

Also not surprising, much of the show revolved around artificial intelligence.

Some of the manufacturers had giant TV screens that were almost 3D to showcase technology. You had to look twice to realize they were screens and not actual installed machines.

I was barely able to leave the DOTmed booth because we had so many visitors.

Interestingly, not one person I spoke to brought up what's happening in Gaza or Ukraine. However, a lot of people wanted to talk about right to repair. Others spoke about the growth of global markets, especially in India and Africa.

All in all, it was a memorable meeting during an exciting time for radiology.
