Ensemble Health Partners, a leading provider of revenue cycle management for healthcare organizations, has announced a collaboration with Microsoft to further innovate its proprietary platform, EIQ. The partnership will utilize Microsoft Azure's generative AI and machine learning technologies to enhance automation and intelligence across the entire revenue cycle management spectrum.

The Cincinnati, Ohio-based company has dedicated over $100 million over the last decade to evolve EIQ, earning eight U.S. patents in the process. The platform functions as a comprehensive intelligence engine, integrating and analyzing data from hundreds of disparate systems, totaling over 800 terabytes. By embedding insights directly into healthcare organizations' EHRs, EIQ aims to automate processes, guide operator actions, and enhance overall functionality.

“Each day, our operators work with an AI-optimized infrastructure that harnesses the richest data set in the industry to drive consistent, optimal outcomes our clients can rely on,” said Ensemble’s CTO Grant Veazey. “Our models are informed by thousands of variables and consume billions of transactions. The greater the volume and variety of data, the more complete and valuable models become — providing better and faster insights at the point of decision. Our partnership with Microsoft allows us to deploy hundreds of generative AI models quickly and safely to the millions of healthcare transactions we process daily.”

The collaboration with Microsoft will allow Ensemble to deploy numerous generative AI models rapidly and safely, enhancing the processing efficiency of millions of healthcare transactions daily. This initiative is part of Ensemble's broader strategy to combine expert operators with data science to streamline workflow integrations and continually refine their AI models.

The announcement follows a partnership with Epic's Rev Cycle Partners program.
